Sometimes there is a cat one simply cannot forget. Meli is exactly such a tomcat.

He was rescued from a hoarder household where far too many cats had to live in terrible conditions. He spent his entire kittenhood there – without the security and care that every kitten deserves. Yet even though life has disappointed him so much, Meli has never lost one thing: his trust and his love for people.

Meli is an incredibly gentle, sweet and even-tempered tomcat. He is one of those cats who do not need much to be happy. A soft spot to lie on, loving cuddles, calm words and the feeling of finally having arrived – that is all he wishes for. His favorite thing is to snuggle up close to his humans and simply enjoy their presence.

Meli also gets along wonderfully with other cats. He quickly makes friends and would therefore be very happy about a social, friendly but confident feline buddy or girlfriend he can look up to and take his cues from.

Of course, there is still a little player inside him. A feather wand or fishing-rod toy will instantly excite him – and for a moment, the carefree kitten he was never allowed to be shines through.

The hardest chapter of his life is finally behind him. Now all that is missing is what he has had to wait for so long: a loving home where he is allowed to truly arrive. A home with warm places to sleep, gentle hands, lots of love and people who will never let him down again.

Meli is waiting for his second chance. Perhaps he is waiting for the right heart to open its doors to him.
