Some cats touch the heart from the very first moment. Sokrates and Ioulitsa are definitely among them.
The two were born in August 2025 and, as tiny kittens, already had to experience what every animal should be protected from. Together with their mom and their three siblings, they were found – all of them suffering from a severe eye infection. Despite every effort, one of the siblings sadly did not make it. The other three survived, but each of them lost one eye.
Yet anyone meeting Sokrates and Ioulitsa today would never believe what they have been through.
They play, romp around, climb and race through their surroundings, full of joy for life. They find their way around without any problems, are curious, confident and enjoy life to the fullest. After just a few minutes, it is easy to forget that they are missing an eye – because for them, it simply does not matter.
What truly makes them unique is their incredible nature.
Sokrates and Ioulitsa love people with all their hearts. They always want to be close, follow their humans around the house and are happy about even the smallest bit of attention. Petting, little kisses and cuddle time mean the world to them.
As soon as the door opens, they rush over with joy, as if they had not seen anyone for an eternity. When someone walks past them, they immediately and gently ask for a few strokes. It is almost impossible to resist them – and, honestly, there is no desire to.
Despite everything they have experienced, they have never lost their trust in people. They have remained gentle, loving and full of zest for life. That is exactly why the wish is for people who do not see the missing eye, but the two wonderful personalities behind it.
Sokrates and Ioulitsa have already endured more than many animals ever have to. Now they are only missing one thing: a home where they are finally allowed to arrive. A place where they are loved, can cuddle on the sofa, are allowed to fall asleep on a lap and are simply part of a family.
The two are closely bonded and will only be placed together. They give each other support and should be allowed to continue going through life side by side in the future.
Anyone who gives these two special cats a chance will not only gain two beautiful velvet paws, but two loyal souls who will enrich every single day with love, purring and so much joy.
Perhaps their forever home is waiting right there.
