Melina survived on the streets for many years. Again and again she gave birth to kittens – and lost them. A life full of danger, uncertainty, and loss.

When Melina and her daughter Nefeli were trapped as part of a TNR program, the plan was actually to return them to the streets. But it quickly became clear: these two are too gentle, too people-oriented – and the place where they had lived was simply too dangerous. So they were given a chance. Today they live together in a foster home. There, with their calm and loving nature, they have won every heart. 

Nefeli is the braver of the two – curious, open, and always ready to meet new people. 

Melina is a little more cautious and needs time to build trust. But once she feels safe, she shows deep, tender affection. She still watches over her daughter as if she were a tiny kitten. 

The two are inseparably bonded and are looking for a home where they can arrive together – a home where they are finally safe and never have to fight for their lives again. 

After everything they have been through, they only wish for one thing: a warm basket, loving humans – and a forever home.
